Background

Ifö Sanitär is the number one supplier of sanitary products for kitchen and bathrooms on the Nordic market. They do business in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Russia, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. They employ over 750 people at about 20 sites in these countries.

Problem

Ifö has tough competition on the market and it’s important to stay at the front end of development. Ifö had an old built-in system that was now to undergo further development.

Solution

Ifö has in a collaboration project with Avalon produced a new built-in system with  lots of advantages compared to the old one. Avalon has been part of the project from the idea and concept stages.

Result

Successfactors of the project,

• The built-in tank is prepared for tube in tube installation with a variety of different placements for incoming water.
• Less risk of water damage. All connections end outside of the wall. If a leak should occur the water will end up on the water proof floor instead of inside the wall.
• The compact mounting in Ifö’s built-in tank will not be affected by break downs because of lime deposits. All moveable parts are always either under or above the water surface.
• Some components from the floor mounted toilets could be re-used.
  

Besides the topics listed above Ifö is alone on the market in offering the Fresh WC system, which means a small blue pill is inserted into a small tube built into the flushing mechanism. This keeps the toilet fresh.
